Nail wars! Brights vs metallics

This week it’s American Apparel’s neon brights versus Nails Inc’s super-cool metallic polish.

I picked up this Neon Violet shade in American Apparel this week and can hardly stand to wear any other shade. Although you can’t see in photographs, it almost lights up in the sunshine to become a really vibrant purple, and it paints on like a dream. I rarely rave about nails polishes as I often find them too thin and runny or too heavy to do a neat job, but this was the perfect consistency, a great easy-to-use brush, and you get loads for your money.

This Nails Inc metallic polish is a brilliant night-time shade – and is pretty fun to apply. There’s a magnet attached to the cap of the polish, which you hover above a freshly-painted nail to create a cool star pattern on each tip. Fuss-free nail art – I love.
