Toma Nail Polish in Atmosphere, then used a sponge to dab on Dior Vernis in Purple Mix. A coat of Sally Hansen’s Insta-Dry topcoat sealed the look. I love the sponge-tipped effect and it was super quick, but I wish I had gone for a brighter colour. The nude base would look killer with a neon pink or green, I think – something for me to try next week!”
I am so into the ’90s you wouldn’t believe it. No, really, I still use Sun-In in my hair, so this jeans-look nail art was the perfect reminder of a time when it was acceptable to match denim a la Britney and Justin. I started with a coat of matte polish Nails Inc Special Effects Denim Effect Polish in Bermondsey, then drew on yellow and white dashes using my Models Own Wah Nail Nail Art Pens to create “stitching” up the sides of each nail, and sealed with my trusty fast-drying Seche Vite topcoat. All I need now is to find blue jeans, denim shirt and a denim scrunchie to match…
